Card Flourish

Ever played card before?  I bet you do.  It depends in your believe and i know most of the religion forbid gambling.  As for i, i don't like to gamble.  With money or anything, i am just not a gambling man.  But i play card for fun.  Even more entertaining if you play card for magic tricks.  But magic you must have skill to make it look more presentable and it is call the art of flourishing.  Even a simple as ribbon spread or card fan is a flourish.  But remember this, too much flourish will cause your magic performance will to be ruin.  People will know your ability to control the card anywhere you want by just making them a headache.

CARD CHEATER ARE NOT EXACTLY A MAGICIAN

Everything you do you must have a style. Even in writing. your own hand writing is a style. just to make it more fun. you put flourishes while you were playing cards will make you look like an experienced card dealer.  Talking about experience, there is one book that is for card cheater. It has been around for about a hundred years old by S.W. Erdnase.  Well if you turn it backwards it will spell E.S. ANDREWS it is more like a conspiracy. And the writer have never been found or known till this day.  What makes me feel angry about magician nowadays that they claim the book to be theirs and say its for magician only.  Well card cheater are not magician.  That book you all talk about is founded on the sidewalks.  Though i have read it, and i contains only a few card tricks at the back but it can make you separated men from the boys( ameteur) magician.

Back to the topic, well i love to watch people flourishing cards and i love to see it done smoothly.  You can take a look on dan and dave.  You'll love it. Enjoy..

Thick vs Thin stock

At first i didn't know what is the purpose of the thickness of the card.  I thought all cards were the same.  I thought they were just a card. Not until i found cardistry. The method of shuffling and juggling stuff and of course magic.

So today i'll be talking about the thickness of the deck you are using and your style of playing.

THICK STOCK- Flourish

THIN STOCK- Magic

However you can still choose thin stock to do magic but the chances are you will ruin your card faster.

So, example of thick and thin stock and here it is.

THE THICK - The Bicycle Titanium  Edition
The thick deck is commonly uses for flourisher. the durability is very high. it can withstand abuse like crazy. i still uses the titanium deck till now practicing flourishes for about 6 months and still using it.

Next will be the thin deck and the Example that i can give you is the Bicycle Shadow masters.  If Dan and Dave use these for flourishes i think it will only last for about an hour. Surely the deck have a very low durability.  But this deck is really thin, which mean you can do magic stuff more efficiently.  The double lift can become undetectable, the art work is full of amazement which can distract spectators.

I think that is it for now.  I recommend both of the decks that i have mentioned.  They are really good though.
